Processes and Add-Ons

Quick Fields processes extract or add information to or from a page or document. For example, various processes available for Quick Fields can generate text from a document or a specific region of an image, determine whether a particular region is marked, extract information from a database, or apply annotations to the document. You can configure Quick Fields to store the document in Laserfiche according to the results of these processes.

Processes behave differently within the various stages of processing within sessions. In different stages, they may apply to all or specified pages of a document. In Identification, they are compared to criteria to determine whether a page should be assigned to a document class.

Note: Some processes come with the basic Quick Fields installation, and some must be purchased as add-ons.
